Last i was there, they opened til 8 pm, but not sure bout Saturdays. I know they close on Sundays
Price per entree was in the $10-$20 range.
There are two parking areas, one off Hwy 11 and the other is down behind the building to the right. Two Van's could fit up top or one up top and one below.
A good vegan choice for Big Island on Hilo side is liquid life in Keaau.
Such a great place, friendly service and food is delicious!!!! I ordered the plate with all kinds of Hawaiian food, pretty big portions. It has pork, rice, taro, coconut pudding, fresh fruits and other local dish I can’t name of. It’s right on route 11, I will come back again.
Great people here, quality ingredients and products. Had a large smoothie and pie and decent coffee. Would stop in often if I lived nearby
Saw this cute little place on the side of the road and decided to stop...glad I did. Delicious and fresh food. The garlic shrimp was great. Nice atmosphere with a local family band playing Hawaiian music inside as well.
Chill place between volcano national Park and Hilo. Great sandwiches and pasta salad. Serving coffee from the coffee mill down the street. Also a full menu of soft drinks and juices. Ginger beer is awesome! The staff is helpful and friendly. Bathroom available in back, just ask. Def stop here for the coffee or bite to eat on your way to or from.
Cute space, aloha plate was absolutely delicious. Nachos were great, but huge and quite salty.
Coffee and food here is excellent for such a local little spot. Homey, friendly Aloha.
This cafe is like a gem in the middle of the road. I got some Hawaiian cousin that I liked a lot. The host was very friendly and helpful.
Delicious, fun clean cafe, enjoyable experience! We all had the pork, rice, poi, salad, coconut pudding, purple potato, I think it was Aloha Plate- added photo, it went to general photos. We ordered for our little one the best grilled cheese sandwich and a fresh yummy bowl of fruit!
Good location for vegans and carnivores. Lots of choices with really good coffee. If you are heading to volcano national park you can't miss it.
We enjoyed our light snack at this cafe. We gotten the nachos (decently sized) with tea and half Aloha Plate with Passion Fruit smoothie with boba. The gift shop were a few items ranging from ties, macadamia nut bars, handcrafted cards to a few others. The food was great and the customer service matched the food.
After a morning of walking the volcano, this is the perfect place to relax and have a healthy meal that is tasty. Friendly staff and relaxing setting.
Stopped by on the way to the airport. Foursome. Cheeseburger special was delicious with the local chips. Grilled cheese was great. Other two had Aloha 1/2 Plate. They loved it. Hostess was sweet. The only drawback was the small bathroom in the back. I have a feeling they will need to work on that a little because they are going to be getting a lot busier!
We stopped here after driving back from Volcano National Park, and all I can say is wow! I got the steak grilled cheese sandwich and it may have been the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Everything on it tasted fresh and local, the bread was cooked to perfection. I also got a coconut boba tea smoothie and it was not only good but tasted natural and not too sugary. Stop looking for anywhere else this is a must do.
Just stopped by for an early lunch- what a lovely little place! The server was so sweet, mellow jazz in the background and the food was great! Had a bubble tea- what fun- a frozen drink with little gelatin "bubbles"- and the sausage ciabbata sandwich with a salad (great salad dressing and fresh greens and sprouts). Picked up some "Blessing Cards"- a pack for me and one to send to a friend. Would highly recommend!
Waitress was very friendly and attentive, service was quick, cafe was cute, and the smoothie and bubble tea we had were great! Great place to stop for a quick bite to eat.
We stopped in on our way to the Volcano National Park. It's a tiny place that looks like a house. The food was incredible. I had the ham and cheese sandwich and my fiance had the vegetable panini. Both tasted fresh and delicious. The lady that worked there was really sweet and service was fast. Overall, amazing place. We highly recommend.
The kiddos and I absolutely love this cafe because it is close to home, affordable and delicious. I personally love their bubble teas and daily specials although I have tried nearly everything on the menu. The kiddos sometimes just go for their yummy desserts everything from ice cream shakes to a decadent slice of chocolate cake. And the sandwiches all come with a side of salad as seen in the picture above. Right off the highway, easy to get to, lots of parking. Oh and the decor and pleasant staff with make you feel right at home.
Delicious, sit-down place to get coffee & breakfast! Can absolutely recommend. We had coffees with cream & sugar, plus an açaí smoothie bowl that was just gorgeous (and tasted just as good).
A very nice little cafe from the main road. It's a converted home with limited parking. There is additional parking in the back of the house. We had the Hawaiian nachos which is a local favorite. Coming from California, I was disappointed. The nachos were cold, the pork had the texture of originating from a can, and the cheese sauce was grainy. No melted cheese, not on these nachos. They were tasty but not great. The only thing fresh on these nachos was the tomatoes. The dining area was clean. Service was slow. If you have to go to the restroom you need to travel through the kitchen. Take a peek and you will discover chief mike ( microwave) as the main heating element. The kitchen is well organized for a converted home yet, limited.
Ube shake was amazing.A beautiful cafe with tasty and visually appealing food that is likely one of the best food stops between hilo and kona.We stopped in and there was live music. The aloha plate is super tasty and doesn't feel as dense as your traditional plate. You can also pick up art, sauces, and other knick knacks.
Need a great meal to end our 2 day 24km hike. Stopped at this spot and we were not disappointed. I had the Aloha plate which came with shredded pork, rice, lomi, poi, garden salad, sweet potato and pineapple and a bite size portion of cheesecake for dessert. My boyfriend had the special: gyro sandwich with lb beef mix. Super tasty as well. Food is organic and local. The lady serving us was an absolute gem! So kind and helpful and answered all of our touristy questions about the amazing food on our plates. Also tried 100% Kau coffee, very tasty! Our experience was pleasant, relaxing and very informative on where everything came from. Definitely going back :)
Stumbled upon this cafe while driving from Volcanos park and LOVED it! Excellent vegetarian and vegan options. I highly recommend the vegetarian panini! The steak grilled cheese was also great. Really friendly and quick service.
Open after Covid 19 and just add it was. Cute Cafe with delicious foods. I always get the half order Hawaiian plate and it's bountiful. Toss salad with home made dressing. A slice of haupia, sweet potato and pineapple. Kalua Pig, Lomi salmon, and a scoop of rice. Delicious and fresh! My husband got the mushroom sandwich, huge portobello mushroom, grilled onions, avocado. Yummy!!Topped it off with a mango bubble tea. Support local businesses.
Cute little cafe with amazing local food with a twist and a great atmosphere !
A little disappointed given the high reviews. Service was a little odd--when we asked for some water after 5 mins had already passed, the server said that it would take a few more mins because they were "backed up". We had a bambucha plate and the nachos. The nachos were pretty good, and we liked certain elements of the plate, but didnt like others. We tried a mango bubble tea which was actually more of a slush. It was creamy and sweet, which was nice at first, but was too overwhelming by the end. The bubbles were also not great, as they were tough and rubbery. The 50/50 coffee/hot cocoa was pretty good. Overall, it was good but not great.
Exceptionally good food. The cheeseburger special may have been the best burger I have ever had.
Charming little cafe, friendly service and delicious fresh food. Worth the stop!
The food was excellent, it's such a nice cozy Cafe, with live music and the service is great. Awesome experience, highly recommend eating here. We had the Hawaiian nachos, a hot pastrami sandwich and the roast beef panini special.the salad that comes with each sandwich was so fresh and tasty too.
Cute little cafe on the south side of Kurtistown. We ordered their aloha plate and it was delicious! We ordered to go but still had to wait a bit for the food. They have a refreshing smoothie menu too. Wish we had time to enjoy one!
